Zipper Pulls

Zipper pulls are so very fast and easy to make.  And once made they are so easy to use.  They're also interchangeable.  Move them from one jacket to another, or even hang them off your purse or belt if you want.

First, gather and arrange the assortment of beads you want to use.  If you want to dangle a charm off the end you'll need to choose that also.

If doing a design similar to Ex. 1 you should attach your charm on the end of the eye pin first.  Next you can place the beads on the eye pin in the order you want them.  Make sure you leave a minimum of 1/4" on the eye pin so you can make the loop that secures the zipper pull.  When finished arranging the beads, make the zipper pull loop using your round-nose pliers.  Attach the zipper pull and close the loop.

If you're making your zipper pull more like Ex. 2, you'll need to grab your head pin first.  Attach a small bead on the head pin and place the cone, wings and head piece bead for the body on the head pin. Using your round-nose pliers, make your loop and cut any excess wire.

Now you can attach your eye pin to the previous loop (or use a decorative jump ring as shown).  Slide on the beads and spacers in your desired arrangement.  Now, make the zipper pull loop using your round-nose pliers.  Attach the zipper pull and close the loop.
